Creston, a private gated environmentally sensitive mountain community near Black Mountain and Asheville NC, offers homesites with conservation easements, a community center, hiking trails, mountain views, waterfalls, a natural setting, and abundant wildlife.
Kestrel Neighborhood
Driving along Kestrel Lane you’ll find cabin sites nestled and perched among native hardwood trees, rhododendrons and mountain laurels. The Kestrel Neighborhood was named after North America’s smallest falcon and represents for the Creston developers’ the desire to offer dwelling plans that are fine and small. Like the female falcon on a protected nest owners are encouraged to use exterior products that blend with the surroundings and allow their nest to blend into the natural environment.A collection of mountain cabins have been designed by local architects and is represented as the Nesting Collection.
Nesting Collection
We asked some of Asheville’s finest architects to design a series of mountain retreats with a smaller footprint and reduced square footage. Over the past few years we have listened to many Creston prospects that have realigned their focus from a large mountain home to a smaller design yet with excellent style and quality. Many people are preferring a house plan that’s more responsible for their pocketbook and with less impact on the environment. This information culminated in the 2011 Nesting Collection. We hope you will select a design that speaks to you along with a beautiful Creston building site to nest a cabin in.
