This tiny village is home to Chimney Rock Park, a popular place to experience nature’s wonders. The Park, located 25 miles southeast of Asheville offers spectacular 75-mile views from “the Chimney,” a 315-foot monolith located on the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains overlooking Hickory Nut Gorge. Hickory Nut Falls, one of the highest waterfalls east of the Mississippi, may be enjoyed from the top with its spectacular 404-ft. drop, or with its cool, refreshing mist from below.
